While you can technically sideload every single non-Google app by downloading individual APKs or by transferring them from an existing smartphone, it would be a huge hassle to update every single app by downloading their respective APKs every single time and manually installing them.

To take a photo, you can either use a virtual button on the display, or you can use one of the physical volume buttons on the side of the Huawei P30 Lite. The phone will choose an autofocus point for you, but if you want to select a different subject, all you need to do is tap on the screen in the relevant place. All of the sample images in this review were taken using the 12 megapixel JPEG setting, which gives an average image size of around 4Mb. While image quality is not on a par with the P30 Pro, the Huawei P30 Lite still puts in a very good performance.
Colours are bright and punchy directly from the camera, with a good degree of saturation that manages to retain realism.
